A former dairy farm building was carefully dismantled to clear space for this custom-built home. Mark personally designed the planning and building warrant drawings, ensuring the structure met all regulations and client specifications. The construction process began with robust foundations and underfloor heating, followed by the fabrication of attic room trusses to maximize living space. A striking vaulted living and dining area was achieved with the installation of two large glulam beams, enhancing the open-plan feel of the property. The fully glazed gable end, supported by a precision-engineered steel A-frame, allows natural light to flood the interior while offering uninterrupted views. High-performance insulation was meticulously fitted throughout the house, alongside a state-of-the-art heat recovery system and an energy-efficient air-source heat pump. These features contributed to exceptional EPC and airtightness ratings, ensuring both sustainability and long-term energy savings for the homeowner
